Welcome to Paws TLC. These terms are designed to ensure the safety and well-being of your dog during their time with us. By booking an appointment, you agree to the conditions listed below.
1. Appointment & Arrival
Please arrive on time for your grooming session. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your pet to avoid delaying other clients, and a full fee will apply. Prompt collection helps keep our salon calm and comfortable for every dog.
2. Health & Vaccinations
Your dog’s health is our absolute priority. We require all pets to be up to date with vaccinations and parasite treatments. It is your responsibility to inform us of any known medical conditions, allergies, or recent surgeries before grooming begins.
3. Coat Condition & Matting
We follow a 'comfort over vanity' policy. If your dog’s coat is severely matted, we will clip it short to ensure their comfort and avoid causing skin irritation or pain. An additional fee may apply for the extra time and care required for de-matting.
4. Behaviour & Safety
Please let us know if your dog has any history of aggression or nervous behaviour. We reserve the right to stop grooming or use a muzzle if a dog becomes a risk to themselves, other dogs or staff. Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets.
5. Cancellations & No-Shows
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or changes to your booking. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments (no-shows), will be subject to a fee equal to the groom price.
6. Payments & Pricing
Prices given before an appointment are estimates only. The final price depends on your dog’s size, coat condition, temperament, and the time taken. Full payment is due upon collection, and we accept cash or bank transfers.
7. Photography & Social Media
We love to celebrate our happy clients! We may take photos or videos of your pet for our portfolio, website, or social media pages. If you would prefer us not to share images of your pet, please let us know at the start of your appointment.
8. Liability
While we take every precaution, Paws TLC cannot be held liable for any pre-existing conditions or injuries resulting from the grooming of a matted coat. In an emergency, we will always seek veterinary care at the owner's expense.
While every care is taken, minor nicks, clipper irritation, or redness can occasionally occur, especially on dogs with severely matted coats, sensitive skin, warts, lumps, or skin tags, or excessive movement during grooming.
If an injury or health concern becomes apparent during the groom, we may stop the session for the dog’s welfare. You will be contacted immediately.
In the event of an emergency, we will seek veterinary attention for your dog. Owners are responsible for any associated costs.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. The version applicable to your service will be the one in effect at the time your appointment is made. Last updated: March 2025.
